Students in Bahía de Banderas and Compostela, Nayarit, currently travel over an hour and a half by bus just to attend a bilingual middle or high school. This distance creates a significant barrier to accessing quality education.
At Roots Foundation, we are dedicated to changing this by bringing a school closer to home and bridging the gap!

Instituto Internacional (IIOP) is a nationally and internationally accredited IB World School with over 14 years of excellence in education. Based in Lake Chapala, Jalisco.

We are committed to expanding access to high-quality, bilingual international education in our region. To bring this vision to life, we aim to raise $150,000 in startup funding, which will also support scholarships for local students.
This is a non-profit, community-driven initiative—and together, we can make it happen. 

Instituto Internacional is opening August 2025 at a leased location in Lo de Marcos, while we continue raising funds for a permanent campus to meet the growing demand for exceptional education in Northern Bahía de Banderas and Compostela.

We are actively seeking a campus location between Lo de Marcos and San Pancho, where land is more affordable and offers the space needed for a vibrant learning environment, complete with academics, sports, and extracurricular activities.

The total "all-in" fundraising goal—including startup costs, classroom essentials, property acquisition, and campus construction—is estimated at $1.7 million USD.
